Our Classes:

**Covid-19 lockdown update: Our summer schools are going ahead and we have had the go ahead from Welsh Government to open up The Talent Shack for small, social distanced groups.  We have new safety procedures that we send out when we confirm your place.  We have put a safety video up on our social media platforms and also sent out to our mailing list.

Workshops are suitable for ages 7 – 16.  You don’t need to have attended our term time classes to come to a Summer School.  Open to everyone!

Performance in a week is literally that – we create a complete piece of theatre or film in just 5 days with the young people being the creative force behind it all.  Something every week of the holidays.  Choose from:

July 20 – 24 LAMDA Acting Bootcamp

A chance for our current acting students to focus on their LAMDA monologues and duologues. We can also accomodate new students looking to start work towards LAMDA acting grades. This is a great opportunity to do real intensive work on character, meaning, setting, and acting technique to produce believable, compelling, truthful performances that include all the elements LAMDA look for, including the knowledge section.  We will perform the scenes from the week on Zoom on the Friday afternoon. Led by Shelley.

July 27 – 31 Drama in a Week with Ashley

Devising scenes using improvisation, physical theatre and story telling techniques.  A truly creative week with a show for family and friends on the Friday afternoon.  Open to everyone, you don’t have to attend term time classes. Led by Ashley.

August 3-7 Play in a week

A week working on the playscript of The BFG by Roald Dahl. We will create chracters with props and costumes and rehearse the scenes teaching acting techniques and skills along the way.  Performance for family on the Friday afternoon. Open to everyone, you don’t have to attend term time classes. Led by Shelley.

August 10-14 Film in a Week

Participants for our Film in a Week will improvise ideas to build a script, take turns at the various film crew roles from directing, sound, loading the clapper board as well as acting. They will also learn some film history and take part in the daily film quiz.
