Acting technique for adults at The Talent Shack

If you’re interested in building skills and experience in a safe and creative environment come to The Talent Shack!
Suitable for ages 16 and above. We’ve got no upper age limit. We will consider younger students according to experience and maturity.

Term dates April 26th – July 14/15

Rehearsals are underway for Confusions by Alan Ayckbourn and we start work on Gary Owens adaptation of Spring Awakening Tuesday 15th May.

We will be holding auditions to join our company regularly through the year so check back here for dates.  Company members benefit from discounted masterclasses and socials and taking part in workshops for future productions.


Please prepare a monologue no longer than 2 minutes and come prepared to perform it.

The Talent Shack Community Theatre Company will be putting on their first production on July 14/15.  You must be over 14 but there is no upper age limit for Confusions.  Spring Awakening has a minimum age of 18 due to adult content.  You don’t need previous experience just enthusiasm and commitment.

Once you have auditioned and been accepted into the company there is an annual membership fee of £50.  This entitles you to discounted masterclasses throughout the year that are only available to our members.  IT is then £100 per production you are cast in.

Acting for Adults

Spring term 2018 is led by Shelley Norton, Francois Pandolfo and Hannah McPake.
Various acting techniques are taught to create believable and compelling characters and performances. All abilities and backgrounds welcome and encouraged. For the last year the group have been working on acting techniques, monologues and scenes.  The time has come to move into performance mode. So this term we will be working with the group to create a piece of theatre.

Our aims are to teach techniques used in drama school and the Industry to build knowledge and confidence whatever your level of experience. Open to anyone willing to explore their potential and discover new things.
